Monk’s House

Monk’s House is a 17th-century cottage inhabited by Leonard and Virginia Woolf from 1919 until Leonard’s death in 1969. It’s located in a tiny village of Rodmell, near Lewes in East Sussex. The house is packed with character, the spirit and many items of Leonard, Virginia and artists, writers and thinkers who visited Monk’s House. Visiting the house and gardens was a beautiful experience – one that I won’t forget in a while.

    1. You’d love it! I’m definitely going to visit it again. Just need a sunny day, a book, some food and be there as it opens and you are sorted.
