Hanko is a small town about 80 miles west of Helsinki. It’s located on Hanko Peninsula which is the southernmost tip of continental Finland. It has some pretty interesting history involving wars, emigration, spa tourists from Russia in the 19th century and a restaurant owned by a former president. You can read more on Wikipedia.

Interesting fact (to me anyway): my bike was made in this town – you can see whole load of them in one of the photos.
